International Paper Courtland Mill
2012 Auburn Pulp and Paper Foundation (APPF) Engineering Scholarship
International Paper Courtland Mill has partnered with the Auburn Pulp and Paper Foundation (APPF) to create the Courtland Mill Auburn Pulp and Paper Foundation Engineering Scholarship Fund. The goal is to provide a scholarship to a highly qualified student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of engineering at Auburn University.
The scholarship award is based on academic performance (GPA, ACT standardized test scores, and academic rigor), leadership potential (extracurricular and community service activities), critical thinking skills, and career goals (relevant to the Mill or local community needs). Diversity and local school representation are integral components of the selections process and enrollment in one of the pulp, paper and bio-resource specializations in chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering.
The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its
support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving
students.
To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions
that they will find on our site at
http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be
the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that
reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis
of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are
submitted.
Amount of award: $500.00
Deadline for entry: October 5, 2012
