Achieve Alabama is an online scholarship resource providing students, educators, and parents with an effective scholarship search tool and college preparation resource that has the capability to guide students through the entire college admission process.he site is cost-free and is available to all high school students in the state. It houses thousands of university-specific and private scholarships. The site also focuses specifically on local scholarship dollars that are awarded each year by Alabama businesses and private foundations.



The Volunteer Center of Morgan County

The Volunteer Center of Morgan County, a non-profit organization, is the premier provider of volunteer programs and services. Annually, the Volunteer Center helps individuals, families, corporate, church, and community groups fill volunteer needs at over 200 community organizations. Volunteers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are mobilized to feed the hungry, serve seniors, protect the environment, mentor children and make a difference in our community in many other ways.

Smith Foundation - Application and Proof of FAFSA Application Deadline: December 1, 2016; Letters of Recommendation Deadline: January 15, 2017
AMOUNT: Financial assistance of up to $15,000 for 4 years, study abroad, professional training through the Internship Program as well as Mentor assistance for academic, professional and personal obstacles are offered but conditioned upon strict adherence to Foundation Guidelines.
Alabama High School Seniors who have obtained a 2.5 GPA or greater
Applicants must take the ACT or SAT but no minimum score is required.
Application for scholarships at student's "preferred" universities and application to other scholarship providers must be completed before submitting your SSF scholarship application by December 1, 2016.
Submission of FASFA forms for 2017-18 before submitting your SSF scholarship application December 1, 2016.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship - Deadline: January 18, 2017
The number of awards granted varies with available annual funding.
Awards vary depending on funds available but are expected to range from $1,000-1,500, although a limited number of awards may exceed this amount.
The award may be used to pay for undergraduate related expenses only.

2017 Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
The Alabama School Public Relations Association is a statewide coalition of professional school communicators. ALSPRA offers financial support to students who plan to enroll in an Alabama college or university after high school graduation and who plan to seek a degree in communication, public relations or a related field. Student members who are eligible may apply for the education scholarship program offered at the beginning of each calendar year and awarded at the annual ALSPRA Conference in mid-Spring.
The deadline for the 2017 ALSPRA Student Scholarship is February 10.

Electric Cooperative Foundation Scholarship
CAEC supports continuing education through the Electric Cooperative Foundation Scholarship Program each year. Graduating high school seniors in CAEC's service area are eligible to compete for four, $2,500 scholarships. Applications are available in December and deadline to apply is February 24, 2017.
The program, established in 1997, awards scholarships to dependents of members of participating electric cooperatives. Granted only to graduating high school seniors, the student must attend a four-year college, a junior college, a technical school or vocational school of the scholarship recipient's choice provided that such school is an accredited institution.

The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship
The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship was founded to help fund deserving students who are interested in pursuing an education in the residential building trades in the state of Alabama. As of 2015,over $500,000 in scholarship funding has been awarded to over 1,000 students.
*Must be a resident of Alabama
*Must be enrolling in, or attending, an accredited junior college, technical school or university in Alabama
*Must be enrolled in a residential construction-related curriculum

All high school students are eligible to apply for our ACF $5,000 Visionary Scholarship program. Multiple winners are selected each year, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 each. The application process is quick and easy and financial need is NOT considered - all may apply!
