WM Announcements for the Week of March 13-17

Middle School

WM Yearbook Staff is sponsoring a Photo Scavenger Hunt on the weekend of April 7-10! This is open to any

7-12 grader. You will make a group of 3-6 students and each participant will pay $1! See Mrs. Spencer for a

sign up sheet! Sign ups are open from TODAY until March 24. 

West Morgan's Got Talent will be returning on Friday, April 28. This is open to any Middle or High School

student. Sign ups start TODAY! See Mrs. Spencer for a sign up sheet!! We are opening the talent show up to

more talents this year and would love your participation! Sign ups are open from TODAY until April 5. 

Student of the week: Luke Wingo Teacher of the week: Mrs. Tina Terry

There will be a Senior/Teacher Dodge ball game on Friday.  The cost to attend is $2.00. Concessions will be

sold by baseball.

Band is offering free color guard lessons to girls in grades 7-11 on Wednesdays 3:15-4:00 weather permitting.

Community Fair and Blood Drive March 20. Blood drive will be during both the day and night. Fair begins at

6-7:30 in the cafeteria. Door prizes and free food.

8 th GRADERS… Applications for WM Yearbook Staff are due by Thursday.

High School

Juniors and Seniors: If you want Waldrup to take your pictures for prom, please come by and make an

appointment with Mrs. Ashby. She will have the picture package information tomorrow. Please come by if

you have made an appointment or plan to.

EDGE leadership program applications for 10 th grade students will be available starting March 15 outside Mrs.

Banks office on her board. All documents need to be back to Mrs. Banks on April 3rd before 12.  Being

selected for this would look really good on a resume.

Daikin Packets are due back to Mrs. Banks before noon on April 3rd. 

Boys State applications are outside Mrs. Banks’ office and are due to Mrs. Banks on or before April 3rd.

Girls State applications are outside Mrs. Banks’ office and are due to Mrs. Banks on or before April 3rd.

See Student Council members during your lunch to sign up to donate blood during school for our next blood

drive. Anyone 16 or older may donate blood! We have a goal of 50 donors! Help us save lives! All blood

donors will receive a coupon for free Chick-Fil- A.

HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER REMINDERS

 Report cards go home on Friday.  

 EL monitoring forms are due to Miss Cossentine by March 20.

 COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY: On March 21st, all of our 11th graders will be taking the ACT

with Writing on campus. All other students (9th, 10th, and 12th) will be allowed a SERVICE

DAY in which they will be EXCUSED to miss school in order to do something positive for

another person in their family or community. Students will need to write an essay (no more than

a page) on what they did on that day that was helpful in order to have it count as a field trip and

not against their attendance. ALL ESSAYS ARE DUE TO THEIR FOCUS GROUP
